That damn kidney again

Jackson is 2 weeks old today!
Aah, the time is already flying... He is still an excellent baby, sleeping well, only fussy when he's hungry, very alert, etc. Everyone who sees him falls in love with him immediately.
We went for our second ultrasound on his left kidney yesterday. Today I got the call from the pediatrician that it is still abnormal. Monday we go back for more tests and until then he gets a daily dose of Amoxil to make sure he doesn't develop a kidney infection in the meantime. I'm still hopeful that things are basically working correctly because, except for these ultrasounds, everything seems to be. Never, at any point in the pregnancy and 5 sonograms, did either of the doctors comment that there was anything abnormal about my amniotic fluid levels and even now his wet-diaper count is normal. I have to think that things are basically all right, with maybe just one or two things just coming along a little more slowly than what is considered normal.
Someday this will stop haunting us.
